sea chefs is recruiting a Broadcast and Stage Technician Entertainment (f/m/d) for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises luxury fleet, serving aboard premier vessels including MS EUROPA and MS EUROPA 2. The role entails operating and maintaining all stage machinery (lifting platforms, fly systems, point hoists including performer flying systems) and onboard broadcast installations. Responsibilities include rigging and striking mobile broadcast systems, props, furniture, and stage sets, executing live show changeovers, inspecting acrobatic equipment and rigging gear, backstage cue coordination, and adhering to strict stage safety standards. In addition, the technician is responsible for pre- and post-production of video clips, overseeing onboard TV programming, satellite reception systems, coordinating technical repairs, and managing departmental reporting.
Qualified applicants must have completed vocational training as an event technology specialist or master technician (Fachkraft / Meister für Veranstaltungstechnik with a stage focus) and possess solid proficiency in theater and show workflows. Required technical competencies include stage automation consoles, media playback software (ArKaos, Mediamaster-Pro, Show Cue System, Q-Lab, Roland, Panasonic, MIDI, Timecode), and broadcast production equipment (Blackmagic Design, Teracue, DaVinci Resolve). Fluency in both German and English is required.
