Maritime hotel and crew management specialist sea chefs is recruiting a Stage Technician (Bühnentechniker) to join the entertainment team aboard the Mein Schiff premium cruise fleet, chartered by TUI Cruises. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating stage automation and machinery, including movable LED walls, lifting platforms, fly systems, and point hoists for performer flying. Primary duties include assembling and striking stage sets, furniture, and props, managing scene changes and backstage coordination, conducting safety inspections and rigging preparations for acrobatic equipment (including harnesses, trapezes, aerial silks, and ropes), performing regular maintenance on stage gear, and coordinating closely with light and sound technicians under strict stage safety protocols.
Applicants must hold completed vocational training as an Event Technology Specialist or Master (Fachkraft or Meister für Veranstaltungstechnik) and possess demonstrable experience operating stage automation consoles across upper, lower, and side machinery. Strong familiarity with theatrical production workflows, a high level of safety awareness, and professional fluency in written and spoken English are essential.
