sea chefs is currently seeking a Chef de Rang (m/f/d) to join Hapag-Lloyd Cruises modern expedition fleet, including HANSEATIC nature, HANSEATIC inspiration, and HANSEATIC spirit. Working within the Restaurant Department, the successful candidate will lead a service station of approximately 30 guests in upscale specialty restaurants or bars, while coordinating assigned Commis de Rang team members. Duties include delivering high-end culinary experiences, presenting cheese trolley selections, providing wine and beverage recommendations, and performing tableside carving or filleting when required.
Applicants must hold professional training in restaurant or hotel operations alongside at least 2 years of experience in à la carte service, preferably within fine dining establishments. Excellent German language skills and good English proficiency are mandatory, accompanied by high resilience and strong leadership readiness. The initial contract length is 5 to 6 months with year-round deployment opportunities based on availability. sea chefs offers paid travel to and from the vessel, free onboard accommodation and meals, health and accident insurance, and complimentary uniform laundering.
